WonderWall @ArtLab est un événement participatif de deux jours ayant pour but de créer une installation artistique des autoportraits produits par les visiteurs de l’espace ArtLab.

Nous allons accomplir cet exploit en invitant les visiteurs à poser pour une photo qui sera ensuite transformée en une oeuvre d’art de 24 “X 24″ en utilisant la méthode de transfert de photo. La technique sera enseignée et démontrée clairement à chaque personne par un(e) artiste. Le visiteur deviendra ainsi une partie intégrante d’une installation d’art de style mosaïque, qui sera ensuite exposée dans l’espace ArtLab jusqu’au vendredi, 7 décembre 2012.

Cet atelier ne nécessite aucune connaissance préalable de l’art et aucune préparation par le participant. Tous les matériaux seront fournis, et le participant est propriétaire de l’œuvre d’art produite.

WonderWall @ArtLab is a two-day participatory event with the goal of creating an art installation of self portraits produced by gallery visitors.

We will accomplish this feat by inviting visitors to sit for a photo portrait, which will then be transformed into a 24″ X 24″ art piece using the photo transfer method. The technique will be taught and demonstrated clearly to each person by a practicing painter. The visitor becomes an intricate part of a mosaic-style communal art installation, which will then be exhibited at ArtLab until Friday, December 7, 2012.

This workshop requires no prerequisite art knowledge nor preparation by the participant. All materials will be supplied, and the participant owns the art work produced. This workshop is a hands-on experience, a collective activity, and an opportunity to participate in an art exhibition.

La Galerie d’art contemporain Visual Voice est heureuse de présenter les œuvres photographiques de la série « Trapped Figures » et « Tiny Houses » de l’artiste new-yorkaise Barbara Rosenthal.

Selon Henry Fox Talbot, l’inventeur du procédé photographique, «La photographie est le crayon de la nature» – un support objectif qui capte sereinement le monde extérieur. Mais dans les mains de Barbara Rosenthal, la caméra devient un instrument captant l’imagination bizarre et poignant de l’artiste.
