Unlock propose trois visions d’artistes qui ont comme dénominateur commun le médium de l’iPhoneographie, une forme de photographie mobile qui s’immisce de plus en plus dans le milieu des arts. Littéralement, le titre fait référence à la fonction de dévérouillage du iPhone, mais au sens figuré, il se fait l’évocation de la liberté créatrice, si chère à l’art mobile. En troisième lieu, l’exposition Unlock repousse les frontières en collaborant avec les berlinois EyeEm, un regroupement qui fait la promotion de l’art mobile via un site web de renommée internationale. Deux artistes seront choisis par MissPixels et l’équipe d’EyeEm pour exposer leurs oeuvres à nos côtés.

MISSPIXELS a participé à de nombreuses expositions internationales et a donné des conférences sur les nouveaux médiums artistiques et sur sa démarche dans plusieurs pays dont les États-Unis, l’Angleterre, le Canada et l’Espagne. Elle a été récemment invité à participer au premier TED francophone à Montréal.
BECKOBECKO Co-Fondateur du groupe iPhoneography Monrtréal et récipiendaire du premier prix de la catégorie Appstractions du Mobile Photo Awards, beckibecko vient de terminer sa première exposition solo à Sherbrooke.
GÉRARD GODIN est co-gestionnaire de IGErs Montreal et il a été récemment choisi par Worbz pour une exposition de photos contemporaines à Bruxelles.

Unlock. iPhoneography Montreal’s Unlock exhibition offers the visions from three artists who have iPhoneography as a common medium, a new form of mobile photography that is gradually being accepted in the evolving world of the visual arts. Literally, the title refers to the function of unlocking the iPhone, but figuratively, it is the evocation of creative freedom, so inherent to mobile art. Finally, the Unlock exhibition pushes the boundaries by working with EyeEm from Berlin, a group that promotes mobile art through a website of international reputation. Two artists will be selected by the EyeEm team and MissPixels to exhibit their work with us.

MISSPIXELS Receiving worldwide recognition for her work in iPhoneography, she has become the Canadian reference in Mobile Art. MissPixels has participated in several international exhibitions and has given conferences and workshops in United Kingdom, Canada, U.S.A, Australia and Spain. She was recently invited to the first French TED to be held in Montreal in March 2012.
BECKIBECKO Co-Founder of the group iPhoneography Monrtreal and winner of first prize in the Appstractions category of the Mobile Photo Awards, beckibecko just completed his first solo show in Sherbrooke.
GÉRARD GODIN is co-manager of IGersMontreal and was recently selected by Worbz for a contemporary photography exhibit in Brussels.
